Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I have been a Republican my entire life. My first memory in politics was when my dad took me with him to vote when I was just 8 years old. That year happened to be the presidential election between George W. Bush and Al Gore, one of the most exciting and riveting elections in our lifetime. I witnessed my father proudly cast his vote on Election Day, and then watched with the rest of the country and the world the month-long recount saga in Florida. Ever since then, I have been captivated by politics and elections.

I am a conservative. I believe that our community is strong and our country is a better place when individuals have the freedom to pursure their God-given potential. I believe businesses should be free from over-burdening government regulations and high taxes so they have the freedom to grow and create jobs. I believe that keeping spending low and balancing budgets is essential to the long-term health of our government. I believe in a strong national defense that maintains peace in the world while putting America's interests first. And, most importantly, I believe in the sanctity of human life and the inherent worth and dignity of every human being from the moment of conception.

These are my values and this is what I believe. I am proud to represent my conservative principles within the Republican Party.
