My Top 3 Priorities

  • Bring good-paying jobs to our city and attract desirable dining and retail businesses
  • Continue to remove perchlorate from our drinking water
  • Support our public safety professionals and their prevention and intervention programs for our youth

Profession:Director, West Valley Water District

Director, West Valley Water District — Appointed position (2015–current)
Commissioner, Rialto Parks & Recreation Commission — Appointed position (2010–current)
Member, San Bernardino County Committee on School District Organization — Appointed position (2016–current)
President, Elm Park Community Association (HOA) — Elected position (2010–2015)

Yale University Bachelors Degree (2001)

Rafael Trujillo is passionate about public service. Like many of us, Rafael grew up in a blue-collar family in the Inland Empire. He earned a BA from Yale University. After college, Rafael returned to raise a family and give back to our community. Like you, Rafael is concerned about the future of our city, our working families, and senior citizens.

Rafael has experience taking the tough votes on our behalf. On his two terms on the West Valley Water District, Rafael opposed unfair water rate hikes, eliminated wasteful spending which led to the distribution of rebate checks of 2015, moved public meetings to the evening hours, and pushed for veterans’ preference in hiring practices.

As our Councilmember, Rafael will work to:

  • Bring good-paying jobs to our city and attract desirable dining and retail businesses
  • Continue to remove perchlorate from our drinking water
  • Support our public safety professionals and their prevention and intervention programs for our youth
  • Provide more opportunities for our senior citizens

That's why community leaders, such as Congresswoman Norma Torres, and public safety professionals support Rafael Trujillo. Vote for a powerful voice for working families on November 8th. Vote for Rafael Trujillo for Rialto City Council.

Hello, I'm Rafael Trujillo and I'm running for Rialto City Council.

There's a lot at stake in this election.  With two wide open seats and no incumbents.  My opponents want to run city government like a business, but the only business of government is to help people, not profit off of them.

I have a lifetime of helping government work for the people on behalf of state and federal legislators and a First 5 Children and Families Commission.  I'm also on the West Valley Water District Board of Directors, the Rialto Parks Commission, and the San Bernardino Committee on School District Organization.  These are tough votes and they try to twist your arm, but I'm always standing up for working families.  I hope you stand with me in this election.

Vote Rafael Trujillo for Rialto City Council on Tuesday, November 8th.

Thank you.
