Candidate Statement

Summary

I am currently Mayor of City of Irvine since 2012, elected twice for two terms, two years in each term, and served 8 years as a Councilman.

Irvine is regarded as the safest city in America, boasts the finest schools and maintains the highest quality of life.

As mayor, I took on the liberal establishment to secure an audit

that exposed millions of dollars in corruption and fraud at the Great

Park. I saved another $120 million by paying off the city’s pension

liabilities early. That effort earned me praise from Orange County

Supervisor Todd Spitzer who called me “a fiscal conservative who

balanced budgets by cutting government waste.”

While mayor, my city was honored as both the best-run city and

the safest city of its size in America.

To strengthen our economy, I formed the Mayor’s Business

Advisory Council to attract new businesses and help existing

businesses grow. I advanced the Tech Valley Initiative to attract

good technology, biological, and medical jobs.

The California Small Business Association appreciated the effort,

calling me “a small business owner who has created jobs and has

the knowledge to help grow our economy.”

Count on me to protect Proposition 13 and defeat liberal

schemes to raise taxes because I signed a pledge to not raise taxes.

As an Irvine School Board Trustee, I oversaw some of the nation’s

top public schools while teaching at UC Irvine.

Send me to the Assembly, and I’ll work to save billions by stopping

high-speed rail, fix policies that released thousands of dangerous

prisoners, repeal regulations that chase jobs out of state, push

to deport illegal immigrant criminals to prisons in their home

countries, and demand excellence from California’s schools.

God Bless you. God Bless America.
