After graduating with honors from UCI, I earned a master’s at UCR. In 10 years of employment at UCI, I’ve developed skills that translate to public service through writing grants, planning events for over 1,000 attendees, evaluating competitive bids, and budgeting over 9 million dollars in funding. Outside of work, I have rented in Irvine for most of the past decade (currently in WestPark) and am a lifelong public transit user.
My slogan is "Limited government, unlimited community." My primary goal is to increase economic freedom in Irvine. An important subgoal is to increase density and remove legal or zoning barriers to affordable, sustainable microhousing; duplexes; short-term rentals, and other innovative housing options. I will do all that I can to resist new taxes, fees, and onerous regulations, and ensure that property rights are protected and that residents and businesses can afford to stay here. I also support legalizing medical marijuana dispensaries and delivery operations in our city so that patients can easily access necessary treatments authorized by their doctors and obtain them by legal means. Finally, I will stand against wasteful spending and prevent the Great Park from becoming more of a boondoggle than a boon.
