Biografía
Wendy Jonathan attended University of Southern California, where she studied Sociology. She received her teaching credential from National University. Wendy also has her Gifted and Talented Credential from University of RIverside. She also is a certified teacher for the Early International Baccalaureate Program. As a School Board Member education has been a priority. She has completed the California School Board Association Masters in Governance Program.
Wendy Jonathan was a teacher for 25 years. After retiring she ran for the Desert Sands Unified School Board and was elected in 2012. She also serves on the Riverside County Office of Education School District Organization Board. She was elected this year by her peers in Riverside County to serve as a Delegate for California School Board Association. She is active in the community as an Ophelia Mentor at Palm Desert High School, serving on the Oversight Board for the Ophelia Project, Member of Palm Desert Rotary, Women Leaders Forum of the Coachella Valley, Women Lead, and Academic Angels of College of the Desert. She also is on the Advancement Board of California State San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus. She is a recipient of The Woman of Distinction Award from the 42nd California Assembly.
Wendy and her husband have lived in the Coachella Valley for 37 years. They have raised two children whom received their education through DSUSD, graduating from Palm Desert High School.
