As a former Marine who served our country for over 27 years on active duty I understand the value of service to our country. Now I seek your vote to continue to serve you and our community. Murrieta has been my family’s home since 2002. I have seen a lot of growth and change in Murrieta and am eager to continue to support the smart growth of our city as a pro-growth member of your City Council seeking to support business development, and infrastructure expansion while concurrently working to maintain the small town-tight knit community feel and open spaces that exist in Murrieta.
Upon receiving my college degree graduating from Framingham State College, I was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant and trained in the specialty area of communications. During my 27 years with the U.S. Marine Corps I traveled extensively and served a variety of locations and organizations around the world. I was honorably discharged/retired from active duty in 2009 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, having served combat tours in Operation Desert Storm; in Somalia – Operation Restore Hope; and 2 tours in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. In addition to a college degree I have completed multiple formal schools while on active duty such as the Advanced Marine Corps Officer Communications School, the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, the Armed Forces College Advance Planning Course, and I am currently pursuing an on-line MBA with the University of the Southwest. Education combined with worldwide travel and experiences has been blessing and I believe this would allow me to better serve you as a member of your City Council seeking to improve our city together. I am also honored to currently serve as a the Chairman of the Murrieta Traffic Commission working to help alieve some of the traffic issues that we currently face. As a Christian man, a husband, and a father i believe that the call of service is one of the greates opportunities and blessings that a person can have. My hope and prayer is that you will support my desire to serve you and honor me with your vote on November 8th. As a public servant I pledge to you that I will endeavor to support the public internest in all of my a tions and with every vote that I would be privileged to cast on your behalf as a member of your City Council.
