Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan: I led the Board’s top-to-bottom review of all of the District’s physical facilities and infrastructure to allow for efficient allocation of resources over the short and long term.
  • Focused Technology Upgrades: As a software programmer and technology enthusiast, it is a priority of mine to make technology infrastructure upgrades to enable fast wifi, chromebooks, and updated computers.
  • Teacher Motivation and Morale. It has been important to me to develop and maintain a mutually respectful relationship between the Governing Board and the La Canada Teachers Association in order to attract and retain excellent teachers.

My name is Dan Jeffries.  I am currently the President of the LCUSD Governing Board.  I have been honored to give back to our wonderful community as a School Board member since 2013, and I am seeking reelection this November to continue to serve you.  I am a prosecutor with 32 years of experience and service, including providing legal advice to the City of Los Angeles.  I have met many wonderful families in La Cañada as an AYSO Coach for 21 years and as a member of the AYSO Board of Directors.

We have a great community, and La Cañada has been very good to our family.  My wife Andrea and I have a son and a daughter attending Paradise Canyon Elementary, a son in the 8th grade at LCHS, and two daughters who have successfully navigated college.  Our family has a vested interest in our schools - as do all La Cañada residents.  What is good for our schools is good for our children, and we all know that our property values are closely linked to the high ranking of our excellent schools and the great reputation of our community.   I have proven my dedication to our schools and community over the past four years, and I will use my past success to keep pushing LCUSD and our community to new heights.
