I'm running for you.

I am a lifelong resident of the Central Valley and have lived in Waterford with my family since 2010. I have worked in health education and community outreach for 25 years with a proven track record in program planning, development and management. I earned my BA in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz; and earned an MBA in 2006 while pregnant and working full-time.

I serve Waterford as a Planning Commissioner and as Vice Chair of the Community Development Committee. I also serve as the Health Sector leader on the Community System of Care for Stanislaus County addressing homelessness. I also have the pleasure of representing District 1 on the Stanislaus County Free Library Board. Additionally, I have been an active board member of the Hickman School PTSA where I have served in a variety of roles (Treasurer 2015-2017, President 2017-2018, and soon will be Vice President of Communications for 2018-2019).

My husband, Stephen, retired from Gallo Glass after 35 years of service and is President of the SOAR chapter for retirees from his Union. Stephen is a long-time resident of Waterford, and I'm so thankful that he introduced me to this city that I am proud to call home. Our 16-year-old son, Ben, attends Downey High School in Modesto where he lives with mom and stepdad. I am so fortunate to get to be a Bonus Mom to this hilarious, guitar-playing teen! Max Ching is our youngest son. He will be starting sixth grade in August at Hickman Middle School. If you've heard drum music (probably a Beatles tune) emanating from our garage on Sawmill, that's Max.

My call to public service has been lifelong. I have always enjoyed a good debate, and have friends and family across the political spectrum. I am committed to ensuring that the underserved and under-represented have a voice in the community and in politics. I strive every day to make the community a bit brighter for everyone.

I respectfully ask for your vote on November 6th.
