I also have been teaching part-time at Victor Valley College for the past 24 years, serving on the business department staff. Officials elected to the City Council need to represent the concerns and wishes of the residents. Council members who accept donations from developers and special interest groups run counter to truly representing the people. Hesperia has the potential to become one of the largest cities in San Bernardino County. The task is to blend the rural lifestyle with progress and responsible growth--our City Vision Statement! So, I am not against growth, but I believe we need to have responsible growth so we don't severely impact roads, city services, police and fire services and water.
