Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Jeff brings a progressive stance to issues such as criminal justice, climate change, income inequality, affordable housing, immigration, diversity, sensible gun reform, civil, reproductive and human rights, education, and workers' rights. He has been a strong labor supporter throughout his life. Vital to his political work is his analytic experience as an engineer and project manager.

Putting principle before politics, Jeff believes in:

·        Government controlled by citizens, not special interests

·        Quality health care as a right, not a privilege, for all people

·        Lifting all people above the poverty line

·        Affordable housing and a living wage for all

·        A free, high quality public education in a safe environment guaranteed to every child

·        An end to mass incarceration; guarantee of due process for all people

·        Corporations are not people and money is not free speech

·        The environment as a public trust to be preserved and sustained

·        Immediate aggressive action to thwart climate change

·        Right of workers to form and join unions for their protection

·        Complete separation of Church and State

·        The right to vote and have your vote counted
