Blanca Pacheco is a graduate of Doty Middle School (formerly East Middle School) and Downey High School. She is a resident, business owner and a dedicated volunteer in the City of Downey. Upon earning an AA degree in Political Science from Cerritos College, she transferred to UCLA. At UCLA, Blanca received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Specialization in Chicano/a Studies. With a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School, Blanca’s goal of serving her community through a career in law was made a reality upon successfully passing the CA State Bar Exam in 2003.

Dedicated to life-long learning, Blanca is a part-time instructor for Downey Adult’s Paralegal program. An active member of the California State Bar, Mexican American Bar Association, Southeast District Bar Association, and California Council for Adult Education, Blanca demonstrates her passion for promoting best practices among fellow attorneys as well as collaborating to uphold the integrity of the field of law and education.

During her time outside of work, Blanca continues to focus on helping her community. A member of the Kiwanis Club of Downey since 2012, there is no better Kiwanian who exemplifies the Kiwanis International motto than Blanca Pacheco, which is “improving the world, one child and one community at a time.” A true asset to Downey, she accepted an appointment to serve as a commissioner of the Downey Public Works Committee. She is also a member of the Downey Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

As a supervising attorney for the Teen Court at El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, Blanca was instrumental in opening Teen Court in the city of Downey.
