My name is Andrew Mendez and I am running for the Azusa City Council...

Summary

A brief explanation of my vision

Azusa is an amazing city with a thriving community and economy. Having grown up in the City, and now raising my own family, I am proud to call Azusa my home.  Having seen the community change and grow over the past several years, it is apparent the Azusa from the past is not the Azusa of today. I am running for City Council because I am certain I can bring fresh leadership to actively pursue new ideas while still preserving our proud historic past.

My three priorities as your council member will be to:

  • Strengthen Public Safety, while addressing our homeless crisis.

  • Engaging in smart Economic Development. Ensuring our Downtown and the Edgewood Center and once again thriving destinations.

  • Promote impactful programs for seniors, youth and working families.

My name is Andew Mendez, and I respectfully ask for your vote on March 3rd.

The primary responsibility of a local Government...

Summary

The primary responsibility of a local government is to ensure that residents and visitors are safe within our city limits...

The primary responsibility of a local government is to ensure that residents and visitors are safe within our city limits.  However, we are seeing an uptick of violent crime within our City, homelessness is a challenge we must face together as a community and drug consumption is becoming a concern for our region.  As your councilmember I will work with our first responders, community leaders and regional partners to ensure that we build a coordinated effort to tackle short, medium and long-term strategies.

As a child growing up in Azusa, I have always seen our law enforcement officers as an asset to ensuring we have a safe community.  As your councilmember and steward of your hard-earned tax dollars, I will fight to ensure we work together to help them accomplish their sworn duty to protect our families.

My name is Andew Mendez, and I respectfully ask for your vote on March 3rd.
