Questions & Answers

Questions from League of Women Voters of California (3)

What financing method(s) would you support to repair or improve roads, rails, ports, airports, the electrical grid, and other infrastructure in the U.S.?
Answer from Getro F. Elize:

We would finance our infrastructure by closing tax loopholes, repatriating off shore funds and making sure that corporations are paying their fair share.

What programs or legislation, if any, would you support to help Americans of all ages to secure affordable health care?
Answer from Getro F. Elize:

I would support Medicare for All. The reason I would support the program/legislation is that people need healthcare and it must be attainable for all americans, and not only for those that can afford it. Medicare for All would drive down cost saving billions in the long run.

Describe an immigration policy that you would support if presented to the House of Representatives.
Answer from Getro F. Elize:

I would support the DREAM Act. The legislative proposal for a process for granting residency status to qualifying immigrants who entered the United States as minors. Since there are some people in this country who were brought here through no fault of their own, should be granted citizenship. They have already assimilated into American society, so essentially they are Americans.
