My Top 3 Priorities

  • Completion of downtown projects. All former redevelopment sites are currently under contracts & with our leadership finalize & complete these developments. As Chairman to the oversight committee ,we have worked hard to get parcels back to Azusa
  • Continue to be strong advocate for Quality of life issues. By continuing developing programs & projects that benefit the resident of Azusa, like annual Compost/mulch program, "Shred -a thon" & many others programs, being envriomentaly responsible.
  • Continue to be fiscal responsible, insuring your tax dollars are not wasted, but invested wisly. PUBLIC SAFETY, QUALITY ROADS & INFUSTRUCTURE, but also quality developlment & job creation.

As chairman to oversight committee, myself & other boardmember have fought to get properties back from the state. The loss of redevlopment 6 years ago was costly, not only to AZUSA,but all ciites in California. Properties were not being developed for lack of vision or desire, but because of litigations with the state. As October 2015 We now able to move forward with these long awaited projects. Block 36 will be my priority to complete with my next 4 year term. Our council has worked hard to work together to maintain a level of professionalism that seperates us from other cities in San Gabriel Valley, we are now the envy of other cities!!  There is more to do,we will continue to work hard listening to our residents & trying to agree on more, then we disagree on issues. Now on block 36 (azusa ave/ foothill) & block 37 (san gabriel/ foothill) We will have 2 projects, after much debate to conversation , council worked hard to deliver both projects SERRANO GROUP as well as CHARLES CO projects.  which consist both a LAEMMLE theatre & BOWLING concept. We are excited to have both in downtown!
