I graduated with Honors from Loyola Marymount University earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and also graduated with Honors earning my Master’s Degree in Public Administration, with and emphasis in Management and Leadership from Cal State University- Northridge. I  am currently the Director of Contracts Administration for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the worlds’ number one AIDS healthcare provider and advocate. I am both academically and professionally qualified to run a city. In addition, I have dedicated my life to service and to proving to people like me exactly what we are capable of achieving. As an advocate, I serve on several boards and committees that address social justice issues such as the Juvenile Justice Standing Committee, which was formed to assist in fulfilling the statutory requirements in relation to a wide range of juvenile justice issues that fall within the purview of the Board of State and Community Corrections; the Board of Directors for the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, an organization that is focused on changing the outcomes of those formerly incarcerated and creating safe, healthy communities; the Emerging Civic Leaders Committee, which is a committee of the Empowerment Congress that seeks to engage leaders under the age of 40 in opportunities surrounding civic engagement, advocacy and philanthropy; and the Prop 47 Executive Steering Committee that will guide the process for awarding the majority of the state’s Proposition 47 savings.
