Patrea Patrick as a Documentary Film Producer, exposed the revolving door between Wall Street and entrenched Politicians in Washington and the non-Tranparent agendas infecting us at the State level. Her research exposed lobbying and oversight by the FDA to allow the chemical industry to run our Agribusiness rampant with toxins, GMOs and allowing Patents on our food crops. Patrea is forging ahead for protections for our Electric Grid that are blocked by Utility & Government ties and the costs put onto customers. In the Environment, she didn't wait for more stalling. She took it upon herself and did tests on The Rocketdyne Santa Susana Field Laboratory Nuclear / Radiation disaster, revealing a 20 mile radius spread of radiation contamination in the valley! This means our district is in contamination area. She marched for the clean up of the Aliso Canyon GAS disaster. Patrea believes that the Environment is ours to protect, not for corporate plunder. She, as an expert on grid security, will enforce that  a high clearance is necessary to work in and around electric grid facilities.

Preguntas de League of Women Voters of California Education Fund (4)

What do you think the State should do to encourage affordable housing for all Californians?
Respuesta de Patrea Patrick:

Affordable Housing and jobs need to work together.  Teachers, Fire fighters and Programers are finding it hard to afford buying a house. Jobs / Housing need to be centered around transportation hubs so that Jobs Housing Transportation flow together, getting us to zero emissions and a clean and safe Environment. The sprawl of Los Angeles leads to heavy emission, transportation gridlock, and time lost in hours of being in traffic instead of being with family. We must do better if we want our economy to excel. The city has to work as a whole entity. Work, jobs, schools, food, water, all must be taken into account. City wants big box retail for tax incentives. County wants tax from property. The answer is to get City and County to work together and give incentives for good behavior.

According to a "Civility In America” survey, 75% of Americans believe that the U.S. has a major civility problem. If you are elected what will do to address this?
Respuesta de Patrea Patrick:
The first thing is to address there is no hole on your side of "our" boat We are in this together. Civility brings us all into the conversation. Racism, sexism, homophobia, and discrimination against homeless and seniors, raises its ugly head. Millenniums, seniors, students, rich, poor, I will address the "us versus them" conflict to actively encourage "me and you"  This has to be addressed by making the vote count. Puting in politicians who "will serve the people." The undue influence of money that drives political campaigns, again gives us candidates who are influenced by special interest. Unfortunately the public can be duped by fliers and endorsements.
Climate changes, and the shifting between very wet weather and drought, worry Californians. What strategies would allow that your district to both satisfy its water needs and protect the environment? Please be specific.
Respuesta de Patrea Patrick:
We must address how this will affect our most basic needs.   Water is Southern California's  most important issue. The conversation of drought, our water importing and, the need to implement local water catchment is of immediate importance. The catchment of local water can mitigate flooding, fires, water prices, and make Southern California water independent. Building projects like the Delta tunnel project should be stopped and the funding allocated to local catchment, storage, and filtering. All new buildings / complexes should be implementing new technology for local catchment, storage, and filtering. Industry and manufacturing as well should do local catchment, storage, and filtering. Incentives and tax cuts are a way to help make this change. Above all the future of California is a stake. Pay now or pay for water at outrageous prices later. We must count move forward knowing we will have more Climate change to deal with. We must prepare!
What programs or strategies would you suggest to meet the educational needs of the youngest and most poverty stricken Californians?
Respuesta de Patrea Patrick:

Poverty breeds an uneducated society. Education solves poverty.  1) Stop money allotted to education from being funneled elsewhere.
Money for education must not continue to be stolen or funneled from this purpose under the California Constitution! 2) Stop waste and misuse of education funds. The youngest and most poverty stricken are not the only ones who benefit  from a education. The crime rates drop, the prison incarcerations go down saving taxpayers and the economy goes up because an educated society people are working not idle.  It means people have money to spend. 3)  Kindergarten needs to be available to all children. 4) Before we give money to Charter Schools be sure they are sound and ethical. Charter schools are drawing funding from our public schools! But there is no proof they are doing a  better job. We need real accountability of how our education money is being spent.

Filosofía política

Patrea got involved in Politics when she was investigating the Utilities and Politicians blocking protections for the Electric Grid. She will fight to get the undue influence of money out of political campaigns. “I've spent years in documentary journalism. It has given me dedication and a desire to protect the little guy. I am concerned with the non-Transparent agendas, and Political Action Campaigns (PAC) money, infecting us at the State level.”

I believe in Education as the tool for California's future. Our economy depends upon it. I was born here. I want the best for our State. The policies affecting us from bad political judgment are wasting tax payers money and putting us in an economic downfall and, an Education downfall and, an Environmental downfall.  I believe the Environment is ours to protect, not for corporate plunder.  I feel strongly that Education is the number one priority under our California Constitution. I will work to see that monies  being usurped and funneled from our education fund will stop. I look forward to working to get Education and industry to pair so that education will lead to jobs in our State. Water and the environment are huge issues that can make or break our States ability to survive. The economy and the environment are not separate entities. I have exposed waste and pollution and will work to increase California's local water supply and independence, and work towards technology, renewable energy, solar, creating new jobs.

QUALIFICATIONS - She understands local and State politics and the issues. Water, Education, the Economy, Jobs, Homeless, Seniors, Veterans Affordable Housing and the Environment. As a Documentary Film Producer and Environmentalist, her films investigate Politics, the Environment, Special Interest, the Federal Reserve, and Lobbying. She exposes how the FDA allows the Agribusiness to run rampant with toxins, GMOs and patents on food.
