Preguntas y Respuestas

Preguntas de League of Women Voters of California (3)

What financing method(s) would you support to repair or improve roads, rails, ports, airports, the electrical grid, and other infrastructure in the U.S.?
Respuesta de Anna G. Eshoo:

I await the introduction of a comprehensive Infrastructure bill.  I support spending federal dollars for this national responsibility. Proud too have written “Dig Once” legislation that requires that every road built with federal funds must build in cable for broadband.  It’s efficient and cost effective.

What programs or legislation, if any, would you support to help Americans of all ages to secure affordable health care?
Respuesta de Anna G. Eshoo:

I support protecting and strengthening the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid and Medicare to achieve affordable, universal health care for all. I am also committed to ensuring that insurance companies protect their patients. As Chair of the House Subcommittee on Health, I have recently worked on legislation to reduce the cost of prescription drugs, eliminate “surprise” billing, improve the maternal mortality rate and raise the legal age for buying e-cigarettes and cigarettes.

Describe an immigration policy that you would support if presented to the House of Representatives.
Respuesta de Anna G. Eshoo:

I support comprehensive immigration reform that provides a timely pathway to citizenship for our undocumented community and especially Dreamers, modernizing our visa program, providing humanitarian relief for those fleeing violence, enhancing border security and increasing employer accountability for employing undocumented workers.
