Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Family - Core family values, morals, and culture are the cornerstones of society. La Verne City Council will help our residents locate and obtain resources to build and maintain these essential family relationships.
  • Community - The well-being of La Verne is a collective effort. We must work together - in agreement and in disagreement. This builds the foundation for trust and mutual respect.
  • Growth - Change is inevitable, we must embrace it. Good ideas frequently come from where least expected. City Council must build and maintain open and transparent planning. Past decisions and events will be analyzed with honesty and candor.

Biografía

My lifelong calling has been public service. This has led me to my greatest challenges and accomplishments.

I am a graduate of the United States Military Academy – West Point, class of 1988. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree and an officer’s commission, I led soldiers into battle in the 1991 Iraq campaign (Desert Storm) and received a Silver Star commendation for my actions. This training, experience, and insight has been my guide-post ever since.

Between the years of 2002 to 2015 I had the privilege of serving as a police officer in La Verne. I have personally seen what our community faces every day – our difficulties and our triumphs. Whether on patrol or as School Resource Officer, I dedicated myself to helping others in any way possible.

I now teach forensic science at our local high schools. We have amazing students, it is a joy to be their instructor. Ironically, they teach me more about themselves than I ever thought possible – their goals, fears, and hopes.

All of this has provided me with great insight to what our community needs. Our city deserves experienced, hard-working, devoted leadership. Please allow me to serve you as your City Council Member.
