Mary Johnson is a Co/Instructor of Urban Schooling at Pepperdine University GSEP, specializes in teaching racial and cultural differences in urban schools, affect the ways teachers, parents, and students interact. My expertise is as follows:

Area of Expertise: Urban Education, Parent Involvement/Engagement, ESSA, Equity, Parents and Students Rights and Education Reform.


Community Advocate Journey:

  • Fought against Albert Robles & corruption of City Council 2003 South Gate
  • Opposed Utility tax in the City of South Gate and won.
  • Spearhead movement to bring back traditional school calendar
  • Fought to save South Gate Police Department (2003)
